Privacy Policy
This policy explains how the Rimio app (“the App”) handles personal information and related data. By using the App, you agree to this policy.

2. Information we collect
The App and related services may process the following information:
- Device calendar data (when you grant OS calendar permission): event titles, start times, and related fields are processed on-device to register reminders.
- Google user data (when you optionally connect Google Calendar): if you grant access via Google Sign-In, the App reads calendar events (title, start/end times, and related metadata) through the Google Calendar API (scope
calendar.readonly). The App does not write or delete Google Calendar data. You can disconnect at any time in the App settings or in your Google Account. - Purchase / subscription data: purchase status processed via Apple / Google stores and RevenueCat. The App does not store credit card numbers.
- Usage and diagnostics: Firebase Analytics (screen/action events) and Firebase Crashlytics (crash/error diagnostics). We design the App so it does not intentionally send Google Calendar event titles or email addresses for analytics or diagnostics.
- On-device settings and reminder data: app settings and registered reminders are stored primarily on your device.
3. Purposes of use
- Providing, updating, and canceling reminders (alarms / notifications)
- Calendar sync and Pro features (Google linking, category rules, etc.)
- Confirming and restoring subscriptions
- Quality improvement, incident investigation, and abuse prevention
- Compliance with applicable law
4. Google user data (Limited Use)
Google user data obtained through the Google Calendar API is used only for the following purposes:
- Reading events from Google Calendars you explicitly connect, to register, update, and display reminders (alarms / notifications) in the App
- Performing sync, re-registration, or disconnect when you request it
We also commit to the following:
- We do not use Google user data for advertising purposes (including personalized advertising).
- We do not sell Google user data.
- We do not transfer or disclose Google user data to third parties except as needed to provide or improve user-facing features, for security, to comply with law, or with your consent (excluding requests required to call Google’s API services).
- Human access to Google user data is limited to cases allowed under the Google API Services User Data Policy (including Limited Use requirements), such as with your explicit consent, for security, or as required by law.
- Our use of Google user data complies with the Limited Use requirements of that policy.
5. Sharing with third parties
Data may be processed by the following providers to operate the service:
- Google LLC (Firebase Analytics / Crashlytics, Google Sign-In / Calendar API)
- Apple Inc. / Google Play (in-app purchases)
- RevenueCat (purchase entitlement management)
Except as required by law, we do not sell personal information to third parties without your consent.
6. Retention
On-device data may be deleted when you uninstall the App. Events read from Google Calendar may be processed and retained on-device to provide reminders, and are deleted or stopped when you disconnect, delete data, or uninstall. Server-side logs and analytics are retained according to each provider’s policies for as long as needed for their purposes.
7. Permissions
We request calendar, notification/alarm, and similar permissions only as needed to provide features. You can change permissions in OS settings at any time (some features may be limited).
8. Children’s privacy
The App is intended primarily for general users. Parents and guardians should supervise children’s use.
9. Changes
We may update this policy as needed. When we make material changes, we will update the date on this page.
